They are Patagonian cavies at Wakayama Castle zoo and they belong to the rat family.  This year, corona virus is raging around the world, in the degree that it might be called the year of corona virus. But it is supposed to be the rat year, this year. They should be getting more attention from visitors, so they seem to be feeling regretful for that.
