山羊 at 和歌山城・動物園　A goat at Wakayama Castle zoo

禅僧が黙想するときは目を半眼にするそうです。そうすることにより、外も自身の内面も見ることが出来る、と言う事を昔、習いました。和歌山城・動物園の哲学者風の山羊も禅僧と同じ様に半眼で哲学的思考に入っていました。

When Buddhist priests are meditating,  I learned before that they would keep their eyes half open. By this way, they would be able to look at outside as well as inside of themselves.  When I look at the philosopher goat at Wakayama Castle zoo, he was also keeping his eyes half open during his philosophical consideration.
