スズメ at 和歌山城・動物園　Sparrows at Wakayama Castle zoo

「驚かす甲斐もなけれ村スズメ、耳慣れぬれば鳴子（ナルコ）にぞのる」、蓮如上人の歌で人間の耳慣れを戒めています。この歌の通りで、和歌山城・動物園のスズメは巨大なクジャクのそばで平気で餌を食べていました。

“Not worth frightening country sparrows, when get used to it, they even rest on frighteners.”  This is a poem by the Saint Rennyo, warning human’s getting used to anything too much. As the poem goes, sparrows at Wakayama Castle zoo were eating food beside a gigantic peacock.
